Dr Bob Clippingdale

Veterinarian

Dr Bob graduated in 1969, from Sydney University. He has completed certification through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society of both Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Herbal Medicine. He also has a Graduate Diploma in Animal Chiropractic from RMIT. He is currently tutoring acupuncture through the Australian College of Veterinary Acupuncture. His other interests cover avian, wildlife and greyhound medicine.

Dr Lorraine Vella

Veterinarian

Dr Lorraine graduated in 1993 from Queensland University, has an interest in animal behaviour, internal medicine and has undertaken studies in ultrasonography through Sydney University. She finds the role as a Veterinarian is never boring as every day is different.

Dr John McKenna

Veterinarian

Dr John joined our team in 2008 as a small animal surgeon. He has over 20 years experience in operating his own practice in Coonabarabran. He has completed a graduate course in small animal surgery and is currently studying advanced surgery through CVE and has an interest in orthopaedics and stem cell therapy (IRAP). He loves meeting the challenge of new cases.

Dr Emma Cook

Veterinarian

Dr Emma joined our practice in January 2014. She graduated from Sydney University in 2013. She also has a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience. She is enjoying furthering her surgical skills and applying her medical knowledge to her patients and is currently studying Cardiology and Respiratory Medicine. She is bright and bubbly and is great to have around. Emma is enjoying exploring Tasmania, her new home and has a cat called Gnocci at home.

Michaela Menere

Veterinary Nurse

Michaela has been with us for over 25 years and is one of our most experienced nurses. She loves surgery and also helps Kate out with some management duties. Michaela has a great sense of humour which can lighten the mood on sad days. She has a soft spot for staffies and British Blue cats and has a dog, cat, fish a a chook at home.

Clare Woodward

Veterinary Nurse

Clare joined us in 1998 as a trainee and now has the role of ESR (Employment Safety Representative) within our practice. She loves working the surgical and reception areas. Clare is our mother hen who is always happy to give you a cuddle if needed. She has two cats at home.

Alyssa Brazendale

Veterinary Nurse

Alyssa came to us as a Don College student that we then took on as a trainee in 2005. She enjoys working in all areas but particularly likes interacting with our clients in reception. She is also wonderful with our hospital and surgical patients and is highly sought after by the vets to clip nails. She is currently studying animal Physical Therapy. Alyssa has a menagerie at home.

Ashlee Douce

Veterinary Nurse

Ashlee also came to us from Don College and then started a traineeship with us in 2008. Ashlee has a great memory and loves being in surgery, helping and caring for our hospital patients. She also enjoys running pathology samples and checking results. She is always bright and happy around our workplace and not much ruffles her feathers. She has two dogs at home.

Melanie Foley

Veterinary Nurse

Mel started her traineeship with us in 2009. She enjoys surgery but is wonderful with the care and environmental enrichment of our hospital animals. Her infectious laughter can be heard around the clinic. She has a menagerie at home too.

Julie-anne Kelly

Veterinary Nurse

Jules joined our team as a trainee in 2010. She loves being in surgery and helping with non-routine surgical cases. She has also developed an interest in the marketing side of the practice. She is currently studying animal Physical Therapy. Jules has a border collie and two cats at home.

Jared Robinson

Veterinary Nurse

Jared moved here from Karratha, WA, where he gained his qualifications. He started with us in January 2014. Jared enjoys all areas of his work but particularly enjoys being in the surgery and prep areas. He is our quiet achiever, Mr Fixit and our I.T. man! He has two dogs Roxy and Max at home that he has adopted from the Dogs Home.

Aimee Hanson

Veterinary Nurse

Aimee started with us in 2016 in a casual capacity when she moved back to Tasmania with her family and in 2017 became part of our permanent nursing team. She is bright and happy around the clinic and lovely with our clients in reception. She has a very spoilt chihuahua at home.

Jennifer Iles

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Jen started her training with us in 2015 and is currently completing her Certificate lV in Veterinary Nursing. Jen enjoys being medical nurse where she can give our patients lots of cuddles. She has a soft spot for cats and loves seeing birds when they come into the clinic.

Claire Curtis

Receptionist

Claire joined our team in 2016 as our dedicated receptionist. Her vast experience with animal handling and her caring and empathetic nature makes her an ideal person in reception to welcome our clients and their animals. Claire has been heavily involved with the Delta Society for many years and has two elderly whippets at home.
